This job is to support the OSM Nepal community in digitizing all building footprints in the Kathmandu Valley. Your work will enable an exposure survey to capture structural data and develop an asset inventory that will ascertain the Valley’s exposure to earthquake risk.

Some areas have been extensively mapped although they are not complete. Your assistance reviewing these areas and ensuring all buildings are traced will be extremely helpful!

This project will involve different stages of data validation that will include field verification for quality assurance.

When a square is finished please mark it as "Complete". The OpenDRI validation team will verify the square at a later date and mark it as "Validated".

Please don't forget to add source=NextView in the data tags.

Imagery Details

This imagery is from Digital Globe’s WorldView-2 satellite taken acquired on October 30, 2015. The image is orthorectified for terrain corrected geographic precision. Additionally, the images have been contrast stretched using a custom stretch and processed into a Tiled Map Service (TMS) for performance.
